The title of my thesis is: Inside the Black Box: Poetics of Dream Narration in Salman Rushdie's Fiction
|Director of thesis||Prof. Dr. Virginia Richter|
|Co-director of thesis||Dr. Ursula Kluwick|
|Summary of thesis||
My intention is to explore the structure, functions, themes and meanings of dream sequences in the fiction of Salman Rushdie, through the lens of postcolonial, postmodern and psychoanalytic theory. The approach will be interdisciplinary, joining findings from scientific fields such as neuroscience with conclusions stemming from literary analysis.
